About Drunken Fighters

Drunken Fighters turns a boxing match into an unpredictable physics contest. Two fighters exchange punches and kicks while their bodies sway, stumble, and recover. The controls give each player a block and two attacks, but the best moment to use them depends on how both fighters are positioned.

A match can be played alone or against another person on the same keyboard. The first fighter to win three rounds takes the match. Random and modified match options add variety, and a shop offers additional fighters. Check the in-game menus for the options available in your session.

How to Play Drunken Fighters

Choose a mode, learn which side of the keyboard belongs to you, and work toward three round wins.

  1. Start a one-player match or invite someone to use the second set of keys.
  2. Locate your fighter in the ring and try the block, kick, and punch inputs.
  3. Watch the opponent approach and use a block when an attack is imminent.
  4. Counter when your fighter is balanced and the opponent is within reach.
  5. Adapt to each round until one side has claimed three victories.

Controls & Timing

Use balance to choose an attack

A character who has just stumbled may need time to recover before another punch reaches its target. Watch the whole exchange: an attack that misses can leave the other fighter open, but only if your own fighter is ready to respond.

Defend before countering

A block gives you a way to respond to an opponent's attack without immediately committing to another swing. Follow it with a punch or kick when the spacing looks favorable. Different match modifiers may change the rhythm, so adjust to what you see rather than relying on one repeated sequence.

Controls

Player Block Kick Punch
Player 1 A S D
Player 2 Right arrow Down arrow Left arrow

High Score Tips

  1. Learn the three inputs separately. Try each action early so you can choose a response instead of pressing every key at once.
  2. Wait for a stable stance. A short pause after a stumble can make your next attack easier to judge.
  3. Watch the opponent's recovery. A missed attack or an off-balance landing may give you time to counter.
  4. Mix defense and offense. Use blocks when the other fighter is attacking, then choose a punch or kick when an opening appears.
  5. Treat each round as useful practice. Notice which exchanges worked and carry that observation into the next round of the three-win match.

Key Features

  • Wobbly fighters whose movement affects each exchange.
  • Separate block, kick, and punch controls for both players.
  • One-player and shared-keyboard two-player matches.
  • A match objective of three round victories.
  • Additional fighters and varied match modes.
